Arsenal secured a 2-1 win against Sheffield United yesterday to secure a spot in the semi-finals of the F.A. Cup.
Nicolas Pepe gave the Gunners the lead in the 25th minute, but the hosts equalized in the 87th minute through David McGoldrick and it seemed they had forced the game into extra time.
However, Dani Ceballos' winner in the 91st minute took the win, and Manchester City is now between Arsenal and a place in the F.A. Cup final.
Scottish left-back Kieran Tierney showed a top performance against the Blades and was responsible for Arsenal winning the penalty after his pass found Alexandre Lacazette in the penalty area before being fouled.
The former Celtic star went to Instagram after the hard-fought victory to comment, and his former teammate Scott Brown & Arsenal, technical director Edu, responded to his post as follows:
Injuries have prevented Tierney from gaining a foothold at Arsenal since he arrived from Celtic for £ 25m last summer.
The 23-year-old has participated in 15 games in all competitions and assisted three times. He hopes to prove himself at the start of the 2020-21 campaign.
Arsenal fans have gotten an idea of what the former Hoops defender is capable of, and it will be interesting to see if he can establish himself as one of the best left-backs in the Premier League in the future.
