Manchester United has stepped up its efforts to get a € 85m central defender, while Everton is ready to spend £ 70m for two Serie A stars on Friday, the Euro Paper Talk says.
MAN UTD GIVEN HOPE BY KOULIBALY DEAL
Manchester United have reportedly received a major boost to sign the Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly That summer, after the Serie A team had their sights set on replacing the central defender.
According to reports from Friday, the Italian team is ready to switch for Barcelona's defender Samuel Umtiti. Who was also connected with a move to Old Traffordwhen Koulibaly leaves.
Umtiti has failed to live up to expectations in Spain after suffering from injury problems since moving from Lyon in 2016.
Koulibaly, on the other hand, has developed into one of the best central defenders of European football during his time in Italy and is currently valued at 85 million euros.
With Champions League football unlikely for Napoli next season, they'll have to balance their books and could sell some of their top stars – including Koulibaly, with Umtiti being seen as a cheaper option.
This news will certainly alarm Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who is desperately trying to connect the Senegal international to record player Harry Maguire in the heart of United's defense.
But the Old Trafford Club also has to fight Real Madrid and PSG's interest if they want to get their husbands this summer.
