Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has revealed his only regret in his career so far after receiving an award in recognition of his hard work this year.
The young Englishman first appeared on the scene during the reign of Louis van Gaal, and it’s safe to say that he hasn’t looked back since.
Rashford was then called up to the first team to replace Anthony Martial who was suspended due to an injury in the pre-match pre-match.
He later shared with Jose Mourinho as a left-winger rather than a striker, but had to compete with the talented Frenchman for that spot.
Since then, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come out with the best results from Rashford in terms of high career numbers and he has done so without having to sacrifice Martial as well.
according to MirrorRashford said, “For me it was an unbelievable experience (talking to Sir Alex about Rashford’s projects and his career) and I think, to me, that’s probably the only regret I’ve ever felt in my career – I’ve never had the opportunity to play under Sir Alex.” .
“It’s something that will probably never happen now but calling him on the phone and having a chat with him for 10 or 15 minutes was great and I’m glad he was aware of the situation and wanted to help too, so he was great.”
Sir Alex Ferguson’s stature became so legendary that his appeal was as great as Manchester United in terms of new signings.
Rashford was nearly two years late for the sexy Scotsman, but he has a chance to create some great history in the post-Ferguson era.
The Academy graduate has enjoyed a fruitful season so far despite being brought up in various positions and the hope is that he will continue to impress.
